Through previous positions in venture capital, I have developed a framework to synergize quantitative data and qualitative evidence to evaluate investment opportunities.
Mountside Ventures
I leverage my quantitative skillset in order to qualify, manage and follow relevant investment opportunities and founders. Through sourcing efforts in my previous venture experience, I recognized a data-driven approach will only be as strong as its underlying assumptions and inputs.
I built a machine learning tool that would source, manage and diligence potential companies. I have written algorithms that pull from LinkedIn, Crunchbase, Pitchbook and other APIs for sourcing. Please see the linked deck for reference.
As the sole analyst, I authored the fund’s inaugural annual report entitled, “Capital Behind Venture 2020.” The report provides insights on Venture Capital firms looking to raise funds from Limited Partners (LPs) such as pension funds, university endowments, government agencies, fund-of-funds, and high net worth (HNW) individuals or family offices who actively invest in Europe’s growing VC ecosystem.
DigitalDx Ventures
Driven by the agility of consumer investing, I further developed my analytical skillset in the spring and summer of 2020 as an Analyst at DigitalDx Ventures. I initially worked with two portfolio companies’ founders to expand into new states by formulating and deploying their go-to-market initiatives. After enhancing companies’ revenue growth, as well as communicating this growth to LPs in memos on the portfolio pipeline, I was promoted in the summer.
I then worked as a project leader for the firm’s Founder and Managing Partner to lead fundraising calls for the firm’s second fund. I worked autonomously to develop and manage relationships with key high-net-worth individuals and family offices across the healthcare ecosystem and West Coast, from whom I raised over $515k in capital commitments.
